Mexican Terra Cotta

Mexican Terra Cotta is the most prevalent type of pottery seen at peoples’ homes in the Treasure Valley.  These pots are bright orange in color and rough to the touch and are usually simply adorned with hand crafted designs.  They are very popular in our desert environment and their relatively lower price makes them an affordable option for our customers on a budget.

The low clay density and firing temperatures of the Mexican Terra Cotta makes it much less durable than the Vietnamese pottery.  These pots should be brought inside during the winter.
