It looks like both containers will be coming in on Friday now. This is not ideal, but there is very little I can do to control their arrival at this point. I will update here if there are any more changes.

Black Clay Update

The black clay container is scheduled to be cleaned tomorrow and will hopefully be loaded on a truck at the end of the day. If everything goes as planned the container should be here on Wednesday. I will post updates if anything changes.

More Delays on the Black Clay Container

I am sorry to inform everyone that the black clay container will not be here this weekend, and it likely won’t arrive until Monday of next week. The USDA decided to unload the entire container and check for bugs. I wish there was a way I could speed up the process, but I am at the mercy of the folks who examine the containers. I will update here as soon as I have more information.

Black Clay Shipment is Delayed

I regret to inform everyone that the USDA has decided that they want to search my container after it arrives in port tomorrow night. This means that the delivery to Boise will be delayed anywhere from 3-5 days. I am hoping I can get it by next Friday, but there are no guarantees. I appreciate everybody’s patience and understanding. If you have any questions please call the store at 424-8303.

First Black Clay Shipment of the Year

Our first black clay shipment of the year arrives in port next Thursday the 25th. If they can get it unloaded quickly, it will be here and ready to view on Saturday the 27th. Keep checking back for updates as we approach the 25th.

Our First Shipment Has Arrived

Our first shipment of pottery for the spring has arrived to fill our shelves. We not only received more Vietnamese glazed pottery, in some great colors and styles, but we also received a brand new product, Vietnamese Terra Cotta (pictured left). This new product from Vietnam has a pinkish-orange color and is modeled after the Italian terra cotta, but it doesn’t have the steep price tag associated with the Italian product. It is not quite as durable as the black clay but is better than Mexican terra cotta. We have many great sizes and styles available right now with prices that are 30-40% less than a Vietnamese black clay pot of comparable size. Come in early for the absolute best selection; also, our clearance rack is always 50% off and has many great pieces on it at the moment.
