Boise Pottery is owned by Colby and Douglas Patchin. The company itself has been in business since 2001, but was just recently purchased in 2009 by the father-son duo when the original owner decided it was time to retire. Douglas has been an entrepreneur since 1990 with his company Shutter Crafts, which Colby has worked for since an early age. In the off-season, Colby works full time with his brother, Jared, (who owns J Alexander Fine Woodworking) and father manufacturing shutters, cabinetry, or other custom furniture pieces.
When not running Shutter Crafts, Doug can usually be found riding one of his motorcycles or working on them at home. And in the free time Colby can scrape together, he enjoys backpacking and hanging out with his two energetic nephews.
